Get Off My Lawn

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

So, is this what all the kids are doing these days? “Blogging?” I guess if I’m not going to be a dinosaur, I’m going to have to do it, too.

Installing WordPress was actually as easy as they said it would be. Took about five minutes. Now I just have to keep updating the thing.

I’ve taken down all the other pages and files on the site and am going to start over again. The thing had just gotten too bulky.

Brenda and me in ChicagoAnyway, yesterday I had to go into Chicago (which I hate – not Chicago, just getting there and getting anywhere) to voice a video for next week’s Chicago Fire season kickoff luncheon. My great girlfriend Brenda and I went in (here we are in front of the big silver bean at Millenium Park) and then walked back from the Hancock Building to Union Station to take the train home.

The video should be pretty cool. It starts with highlights of the Fire’s 2006 season at Toyota Park and concludes with a glimpse of all the good work that the Fire Works for Kids Foundation does. They’ve given out over $1,000,000 in charitable contributions since 1999.
