Be The Third Guy
Nobody wants to be That Guy, but there’s something to be said for being The Third Guy.
My man Stu Opperman pointed me to Seth Godin‘s blog, where I found this video, which would just have been a video of some people dancing were it not for the point that Seth made about it.
One weird guy dancing by himself is just one weird guy dancing. Two guys dancing might just be gay*. But The Third Guy makes it a movement. The First Guy has a scary gig. The Second Guy is taking quite a risk as well. But The Third Guy makes it okay for Guys Four-to-Fifty. Without The Third Guy, though, it’s just Two Guys You’d Rather Not Be Around.
Remember: The Third Man In on a hockey fight gets a game misconduct penalty. But in most things in life, The Third Guy makes things happen.
*Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
