Cable Guys
Saturday brings another Major League Soccer season and my third announcing games for the Chicago Fire on Comcast SportsNet Chicago. Kenny Stern and I will have the call of the Fire-New England Revolution match beginning at 7:30 p.m. CT. If you live in Chicagoland, Comcast SportsNet is usually channel 37 on most Comcast systems. The MLS Direct Kick pay-per-view package has a free preview this weekend, so even if you don’t pony up the $79 or whatever it is for the package, you may still be able to pick up our broadcast of the game on one of these outlets:
Dish Network: Channel 458
DirecTV: Channel 787
InDemand Cable: TEAM9 (check your digital cable’s guide)
Kenny, Chris Doran, our producer/director Tim Sutton and I have a blast doing the games (sadly, we’ll be doing them without Tim in a couple of weeks as he’s off for another exciting opportunity) and we’re all looking forward to Saturday.

Always enjoyed your calls when I caught them on MLS TV. Good luck (with caveats) this year, and I especially hope you get to call some great goals from Emilio, Gomez, Moreno, et al….

Thank you. DC isn’t on our TV schedule as of yet, but maybe that game late in the year.
