Tiger Changes His Stripes
Old and busted:
“…the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.”
New hotness:
“I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart.”
“It’s still all your fault,” he (basically) said to the media.

The coverup is always worse than the crime. Notice how quickly the Letterman story disappeared. I don’t know who is advising Tiger but they should be fired because they are awful.
The more he stonewalls, the longer this story stays in public view. How many women have stepped up with a Tiger’s tale about tail? How many more will come forward?
He needs to say, “I got in a fight with my wife because of my affairs with other women. The fight became heated. Words were exchanged. And an unfortunate accident occurred. I am sorry for the problems I have caused for my family and the women who were involved.”
End of story. How complicated is it?

Exactly. If you come right out and clear the air, there is nothing for the media to dig for. You let it linger, and the media becomes kids trying to find where their Christmas presents are hidden.
Look at the steroid mess in baseball. Those who stepped up to the truth saw the storm pass, while those who ducked, dodged and denied have been hounded and will likely never be forgiven.
