To seek to ascribe motive, to continue long-standing discussions about guns or police or safety or the media, to blame any group or circumstance, today, is disrespectful to those who we’ll never see again and to those who have lost friends and loved ones. All this will come out. Today, at least, let us grieve, say a prayer, and give thanks for our own lives and the lives of those we care about.
