The Things You See On The Highway

(Or the “motorway,” as my new GPS with the British English speech pattern says.)
I was driving home on I-17 tonight and I saw the sight above – an elderly couple driving northbound (slowly, natch) with a huge cockatiel climbing on their headrests. I had to take a picture.
I didn’t know what would cause an accident first: the bird or me taking photos of the bird. (Luckily, traffic is pretty stop and go on I-17 at rush hour).
I’ve long said that Phoenix traffic is for the birds. Now I have proof.

The construction workers across the street are a source of great interest and amusement for the people in my office. This guy couldn’t have been more casual, despite the fact he’s about 300 feet above street level.
