I don’t know what to make of the report that Fulham are “in talks” with the Chicago Fire about bringing Brian McBride back on loan during the offseason (this appears to be the new thing in MLS - shipping guys overseas for a few months so they stay in shape and make a few quid).

I mean, they just went through all this nonsense to get McBride back here in the first place because he wanted to finish his career back home.

I know a loan is just a loan (unless it’s for David Beckham, in which case it’s Apocalypse Now), but I thought that part of McBride’s career was done.
